Together Platform and municipality of Hämeenlinna organized the World Refugee Day event on 20 June in Hämeenlinna. About 100 people from different backgrounds participated in the event.
During the day, the city’s mayor Niklas Lähteenmäki gave a speech about the efforts of the city of Hämeenlinna to help refugees and promote their integration. The speech emphasized the importance of cooperation.
The event started at 13:00, and the participants were offered refreshments prepared by the volunteers of the Together Platform. After this, the day’s program included various games and competitions for both children and adults. The day culminated at 7:00 p.m., when the program ended and the participants went home happily.
