A Gathering for Peace: Kannelmäki Residents and FinPolar Volunteers Come Together at Kannelmäki Church
On a meaningful afternoon, local residents living in Kannelmäki, along with FinPolar volunteers, gathered at Kannelmäki Church with a shared purpose: to stand together for peace, compassion, and unity. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Kannelmäki Church for opening both their doors and their hearts to host us for this special gathering.
Though we may come from different backgrounds, speak different languages, and hold different faiths, we share a single, universal hope: a world where everyone can live without fear, where children can grow up safely, and where no one is excluded because of their identity, belief, or origin.
Peace is much more than the absence of conflict. It begins in our daily lives—when we listen to one another, respect our differences, offer a helping hand to those in need, and choose understanding over prejudice.
During the event, prayers and heartfelt wishes were shared for all people around the world facing war, hunger, loneliness, and uncertainty. While we may not be able to transform the whole world overnight, we can nurture peace, kindness, and friendship right here in our own neighborhood.
